LabVIEW 2009 removed the menu item "Tools»DSC Module»Monitor Variables". Please use "Tools->Distributed System Manager" to open Distributed System Manager instead.

This was a known issue since 2008 is there a more recent version of the  Getting Started with LabVIEW DSC guide that would actually point to the correct menu?

Here is the updated version of the manual: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/372946d/resource/372946d.pdf

I went to ni.com/manuals and looked for the Getting Started with LabVIEW DSC and found a more recent version that has the correct links. Unfortunately when searching via Google, the older version pops up first.
