Help with JKI Graph border

Solved!
Go to solution

Greetings!

I hope everyone is doing well. I made a few changes to the waveform graph from the JKI UI controls pallet and I ended up with a graph which has visible borders on the right and bottom but not on the top or left side of it. I would like to either remove these borders completely or have them visible on the top and left side as well, so it remains consistent. I cant figure out if it could be done with any of the existing properties.

One workaround would be to manually add similar lines to the top and left side but then I'll have to deal with rescaling them each time the VI window size changes. I am hoping someone could present a better solution.

I have attached the graph as a control.

Are you using the "Customise Control" feature?  You can replace that 3D-effect border rectangle with a regular rectangle.

Could you guide me on how to do this? Where can I access this property from?

When you have a .ctl file open, it's just the little wrench icon here:

If you just have a VI and are looking at the front panel, it's under the right click menu when you click on a control, in the "Advanced" sub-menu.

However, I did try doing this and I couldn't figure out how to replace that rectangle on your graph.

Is this what you want?

Graph_NoFrame.PNG

I created a white rectangle in PowerPoint and saved it as a file.

In customize mode I opened menu entry 'Window -> Show Parts Window'. There I selected 'Frame'.

I used menu entry 'Edit -> Import Picture to Clipboard ...'. Then I right-clicked on the frame and selected 'Import from Clipboard at Same Size...'.
