How can I get Labview to interface with Altera PLD?

Hello, I am a student trying to design a Labview interface that will download test data to an Altera EPM7128slc84-7 chip. The chip should process the data and send the results back to Labview for analysis. Is this possible. I am just learning Labview and any help will be appreciated.

I am not familiar with the Alter PLDs. How does the PLD interface with the desktop? In LabVIEW you generally interface with third party hardwar through a call library function node. In the function node you can call DLLS directly and have parameters returned. Does Altera supply a driver or a dll to interface with?

This chip is mounted on a what is called an Altera education board. There are a number of external access points where i can hardwire from this board to a DAQ board associated with Labview...the DAQ board is on a similar set up......I think I can use the digital i/o ports to send and receive data. I think I have made the problem harder than what it is.. Like I said, I am just learning Labview and its pretty much trial and error for now...Thanks for the advice though!
