How can I inslall LV 2014 in Windows 8.1

Solved!
Go to solution

The installation window in Windows 8.1 is too small to show buttons to agree to the license terms. I have tried to tab to the agree button but that doesn't work. Is there a way to make the window larger or to scale the information in the window?

Are you sure you want to be using a graphics based programming language on a screen that is too small for an installation window?

LOL I'm guessing that that's just a small portion of the screen.  Sorry.

It's like the fonts are too big.  Try the DPI settings on your display options.  You probably have it set to 125%?

I beat you by two minutes - but your post is more informative.  🙂

No, I've tried I was at medium. Just changed to small (had to reboot the computer) and fixed the problem. Don't you just love windows 8!

It's not really Windows 8.  I think it's been around for a while that if you have a large screen it will set the DPI to medium when the computer is first set up.

And isn't "medium" 125%?

And didn't you actually set the property discussed in the posts?

Unless you actually arrived at this solution without the help of the posts above, I actually think at least one of the other posts should be marked as a solution (and at least one be given kudos).

It's just a courtesy for giving credit where credit is due.

I had to reboot the computer to make the change take effect but you were right. dropped to 100% and it fixed the problem

You are absolutely right. I haven't had time to get on the forums for awhile and completely forgot my manners.

I thought I gave you a kudo but it was the wrong person - although that person definitely deserved it, too.  Smiley Embarassed
