Hi erb174,
When you say that you cannot import the orignal signal, do you receive an error message or are you just unable to view anything? I think the Knowledge Base 4FIBL6SK: Unable to Import TDMS Files Created in LabVIEW into LabVIEW Signal Express will help answer your questions.
Something I did want to suggest was instead of importing the TDMS file into Signal Express's Sound and Vibration Assistant for the frequency analysis, you can remain in the LabVIEW environment and use the Sound and Vibration Express VIs. These can be found on the Functions Palette under Addons» Sound and Vibration» S&V Express Measurements and are the exact functions that were created for and used by/in Signal Express. By this method you can use the open and read TDMS file functions, use the same processing express VIs you were interested in, and keep the extended functionality that the LabVIEW environment provides.
Hope this information helps,
Mallori M.

Malori,
Could you send a quick example of this example?
Thanks. ERB

Hi ERB,
Did you want an example of using the express VIs in LV or of a Signal Express Project using the TDMS file?

Hello, I've got a problem which is quite similar to the one ERB had.
I want to import an TDMS file in the Sound and Vibration Assistant 2012 and get the following error message. The solution you provided to ERB didn't work with my problem. How can I import TDMS files, which weren't created with LabView Signal Express?
Regards,
Manuel H.

Hello Manuelh,
How are you importing the TDMS file?
Did you make a TDMS file in LabVIEW as well? Does your file include a root tab and a data tab like below?

Hello All,
I am trying to read TDMS file using LABVIEW. The TDMS file is created by me for reading data from one wire devices.
I have created simple vi. attached below which read data from TDMS file. I am able to read other tdms files, I have with this program but not which one created by me. I am not able to attach file with .tdms exentiont. So I have attached it with .xlsx extention. Can anyone please guide me where is the problem in TDMS file? Am I missing anything while creating it?
Thanks

I'm not clear what your problem is. You got error when opening your TDMS file? Or the data read out is not what you expected? Besides, you can zip your tdms file and upload it.
