How can i get the Brightness, contrast and gamma -information from a picture?

Hello!

I´m using Labview 7.1 with Ni Vision 7.1.1. My problem is to get, not to set the BCG-parameters from a Picture. Is there a plugin to get that information?

As much as I know brightness, contrast and gamma are relative values. There is no absolute measure for these values so there is no way to read them from a picture. Thus there are no functions available to read these values.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm always willing to learn :).
