How to analyze a ROI of big image

Hello,

I am using a camera to record video of experiment.  The setup will automatically operate based on the information from the videos. The software need to analyze only a small region of big images, and get some useful information for the auotmation operation. How should I extract the small ROI informatino for further analyzing (threshold etc.)?  Some functions?  I tried IMAQ overlay ROI function. The function may draw a ROI on the image, but the software still analyze the whole big picture instead of the ROI.

Any suggestion or example would be very helpful for me. Thank you.

You can use the IMAQ Line Profile, or use the Extract Tetragon VI and run the extraction through the IMAQ Histogram VI
