I have a PXI-6221 and LabVIEW 8.5

I am running parallel loops, one of which needs to be triggered by one trigger and the other loop triggered by another loop. Is this possible and if so how.

I currently have PFI2 and PFI3 being used as analog input triggers, and it works OK as long as I don't try to run both of them at the same time.

Is it possible to have multiple triggers on the PXI-6221?

Appreciate any thoughts.

Hey ADL,

With a multifunction DAQ card like the PXI-6221 you can only have one analog input task running at any given time. The task can have multiple channels in it but you cannot have two separate analog input tasks running. A task can have one start trigger.

If you need to have two different analog input tasks with separate start triggers that can run at the same time you will need a second DAQ card. If you can tell me more about your application I’d be happy to see if there is a solution that can be done on one card. Let me know if you have any questions and take care.

Thanks,
