I want smooth thermocouple signal

Hi!

I just try to measure the temperature in boiling water by using T- type thermocouple, Ni DAQ 6008 devise and labveiw 8.2 version.

I was work but there is a problem which the temperature it fluctuating ( so much variation) I want it to be smooth.

do I want to use amplification  to input signal ?

If any one can help me it will be appreciated

thanking you

Danushka

Did you read this or this or this ?

All nice literature regarding TC measurements.

I don't think DAQ 6008 is good equipment to read TC's unless you have the right signal conditioning.

What is the standard deviation of your signal?

i do not know much abt this...but i think u must use filters..

also temperature regulator will do the whole job..

thanks

sorry not temperature regulator..voltage regulator...so that small deviations are ignored..

Measuring Temperature with a Thermocouple

Thank you for your reply

stranded deviation around Degrees

I think I want to implement amplification and filtering because thermocouples generate low-voltage signals and are to noise.

I have no experience in this regard just because i am new to the labveiw

please help me

thanking you.

How many degrees? 1, 5, 10??

What do you expect?

You can consider to put one of these between the TC and the 6008!

Please post a snapshot of your measurement signal. It would be nice if you could post your schematics also

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

Thank you for the reply,

i want mesure temperature, than i am thinking to graph itusing labview later i desided to implemetn temareture control systerm .

tempareture may be in between 25-250 C

2 C diviation is not much problem.

Thanks

Try this moving average filter.
