What I meant by this step is that you could submit the Requirement Specs, and the Software Design Documents as part of your project. That will impress the socks off your prof.
You could even add a button (or control portion) that mimics the weather. Sunny = no rain, cloudy = rain. You could go crazy and say sunny = evaporation, cloudy = no change, raining = more water, pouring rain = lots of water.
The only limit is your imagination.

Haha 🙂 seeing as the project was meant to be tested tomorrow (not gonna happen) i think i'll keep it simple. Rain or no rain is enough....
Will this method have all the code in one sub vi and all the controls and alarms will be set in the event bit, not sure how it works but can see the possibilities.

You need to finish this by tomorrow? (you mean today?)
What I was going to propose would have a main vi and as many sub-vi's as there are features (functions).
If it's due tomorrow today, then that might change to a signle vi that does everything and is based on what I originally posted.

I've already resigned to the fact it's not gonna be done for today 🙂 I've the report for it 3/4 finished which is 50% but have like 4 exams in 4 days to study for, next wed-fri, if it comes to it and i'm under pressure to hand it in next week i'll just give up what ever bits and pieces i've tried doing and hope to scrape a pass.
I just can't get my head around the code.

Please tell me Ray wasn't too late with that last post Simone, It's been great to read this thread and watch the progress. I'd hate to see it stop because of a deadline.
I got lots of extensions for my projects when I was at Uni on various different grounds. You could be looking at a 20%+ increase in the project mark if you can get even a 3 day extension when you can focus on the project and not exams.
(alternatively how mauch weight does this project carry compared to 1 exam? you should weigh up the pros and cons. Many of my fellow engineers opted to scrape a pass in 1 module 6% of the year in favour of a better project which was 25% of the year. **I'm not advocating failing here.**)

Sorry for the delay....
Finally ready to give my full attention to this project, got nearly everything else sorted study and projects wise:)
I've been playing around with the tank simulators in LabVIEW and can get tanks linked up and filling from each other but they don't really suit what i was trying to do, any ideas on a starting point ?
