Improper Installation on PC-based RT-machine

I have such a problem:

After configurating PC as RT-machine (Name and IP are set through MAX on Host PC, wich is in the same subnet as Target PC), and installing some software (NIC drivers, LV RT, DAQmx drivers) I get the following status "Safe Mode (Improper Installation)" when connected to Target PC.

Also (as a consequence?), i can't add or configure NI-hardware attached to Target PC (PCI-6221 and PXI-1050 with sowe PXI and SCXI modules)

How can i solve this problem? Can anyone help me?

Did you do a standard or custom software install?  If it was custom you may have missed a package.  If you open up the Software in MAX what is listed as installed?

I've only worked with cRIO RT devices, not sure if a PC is configured the same way.

On Host PC I have LV 2010 SP1, LV RT SP1 and DAQmx 9.3.0 installed. I've tried to install only neccessary components and tried to install all of them (full) when adding software to Target PC (when it is in safe mode). I get "improper installation"-status in both situations.

But there's one thing i've forgot to mention - Target PC's HDD has the only Relience partition (80Gb) - in this case "improper installation"-status occures.

Also, I've tried to format remote HDD to FAT32-partition. In this case, after installing all the software to Target PC through MAX and rebooting Target PC, I get the message "No ethernet driver was initialized".

When I begin to install some software to Target PC MAX show smth like "rebooting Remote PC to install mode" but remote PC doen's reboot. May be the problem is here?

Hi there,

Have you taken a look at this Knowledge Base article on Safe Mode (Improper Installation)? Could you attach a screenshot of what happens when you install software on the Target RT PC in MAX? Thanks!
