Is a Battery Monitor VI available on the web

Hi,

I need a VI which will monitor the energy used for a particular operation. I will be using 2 AA-sized batteries to power the circuit. I was wondering if there are any VI's available on the Web that measure either power or energy of a battery.

The expected changes in the battery voltage are minute.

VIs don't measure anything. Instruments do. Power is watts or voltage x current. You will need an instrument that measures volts and current. You can either start your search by looking at what instruments have LabVIEW drivers here, or find a suitable instrument first and then check to see if it has a driver.

No instruments required other than a DAQ card. Measure voltage directly with the DAQ, and use a current shunt with appropriate scalingand IR drop to generate a voltage that also is fed to the DAQ card. A simple vi is all that is needed.

I have the ELVIS hardware and I will be using the Analog inputs to measure the voltages. But, I made the VI myself and I am not sure if it works well/accurately.
So I was wondering if there is a example code that I could use.

I was unfamiliar with Elvis, but checked the data sheet, it appears to have 2 wire voltage (+/-10V) and current (+/-10ma) analyzers vi's included with it. Do you have them and are they helpful?
