I need to do a lot of things when I want to generate my application in LabVIEW.
Creating a directory
Add all the needed files to build my application
...
Then rename the directory to be sure the executable application will not find any trace of the directory where it was compiled.

While I have not had the occasion to use it myself, you might check out
this OpenG
application builder project.
Remember to read the LGPL license before incorporating the code into commercial software though.
