Is there a special driver for the EVAL-AD7799 to get it to work in LabView and if so, where would I find it?

A colleague just purchased this analog devices 24 bit ADC evaluation board and is having some difficulty trying to connect. Any assistance would be appreciated.

It looks like the board comes with a LabVIEW program to interface with it.  Are you trying to develop your own LabVIEW program, or using the one from Analog Devices?  Are you getting any error messages?

Note that you will need the NI-VISA driver to communicate over USB.  The program from Analog Devices probably includes the driver in its installer, but if it doesn't you can download it from our website: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1070/lang/en

What operating system are you using?

It sounds like you might have a different operating system then the one the VI was written for.

The other possibility is that you are opening a VI where the block diagram was removed before it was saved.

You might want to contact Analog Devices and see what they have to say.  Maybe they have an updated driver.

Hi

They have removed all or some block diagram. This software can only be run by Labview 7.1. You should contact Analog Devices, and tell them in a nice fashion that this is not very customer-oriented at all. You should ask for a sourcecode which can be compiled. If they refuse you should ask for a refund

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

What else do you want to know. You've already been told that the LabVIEW VI is unusable in 8.6 and the error message gives you the reason. The idiot that made the VI made it impossible for it to be run in a newer version of LabVIEW.
