Is there a way to determine which USB device is which?

That link shows how to configure a USB device using VISA and LabView. I used that method to test that my device would work and I was successful in that. But the first part of the block diagram in Figure 7 is the VISA resource name. That is the part that I am trying to figure out how to control.
