Hi Johan,
thanks for allowing to upload your files…
(I also can't upload the LV71RTE/VISA30RTE files because of their size. They aren't relevant for code analysis/discussion.)
The code is really from LV7.1, and written in a "somewhat old" fashion: lots of sequence frames and not much error handling. To my surprise the Event structure already is used…

I agree that the code is not great. Sky high Aztec pyramids of structures (stacked sequence, inside case, inside stacked sequence peppered with sequence locals, inside event structure, inside while loop, inside stacked sequence, etc.. (upper left)
Then we have greedy loops whose stop condition depends on an equal comparison of derived DBLs (lower right). I am surprised that this even works, but I guess it does (maybe it's all integer steps). Definitely not bulletproof!

Highly unlikely. Understanding such a beast of software without actually being able to run it with the real hardware is almost impossible.
What is worse, the reason that it doesn't work can be anything from a wrong driver installation, to a broken cable, bad connector or broken down hardware electronic drivers that create the signals to control the motor. These last things are all impossible to debug from a distance.

You should use LabVIEW for programming.
Which of those fotolux variants to use should be mentioned in the manual, which belongs to this hardware/software combination...
Btw. you really should try GoogleTranslate...

I think you created (yet) another expression ... Aztec programming, structure upon structure. 🙂

i post the manual.
