LabVIEW 2010 thinks it is already installed thus preventing me from installing it

I had 2010 installed before, then a terrible problem with file corruption damaged the installation and now I need to reinstall it.

Problem is that no NI installs appear on 'Add/Remove programs' so I cannot 'repair' or 'remove'.  Also when I install from the DVD it thinks 2010 is already installed and just shows 'Currently installing LabVIEW 2010 (English) for a second' and then reports 'No software installed or removed'.

I've even tried deleting the National Instruments folder from Program Files but this did not help.

Any ideas on how I can force a reinstall - maybe I need to modify something in the registry?

If its the Licensed version there should not be aproble, But if its EVAL version then you have to install in other machines.

All NI Software is listed as a single entry called 'National Instruments' in the add/remove programs.

If that is not available, I would try to run msiblast (see here)

Dank u Ton, I eventually sorted this out by running MSICUU2.exe (on suggestion from my local NI office) - this cleaned out all references to NI software  (I also cleaned out the registry).

Its installing right now (this can take up to 8 hours if I remember correctly!).
