LabVIEW 2026 Q3 License Activation

Whenever I try and activate a license, every time I am greeted with this when I try and activate. I clearly have a Perpetual license. What gives? Frustration is setting in.

When did you buy that perpetual license?  Was it over a year ago?

It is my understanding that a perpetual license is only good for the most recent edition at the time you buy it, plus patches to that edition.  It used to include updates for a year after that as well, but I haven't checked that portion of it recently.

Also, your e-mail address is visible in your screenshot.  FYI if that's the sort of thing you normally redact.

Your second screenshot says it is the Community Edition. I thought you had to renew the FREE license every year... Which I always thought was rather silly.

Yes, it was over a year ago. My company purchased the three-year license, and I thought it was good for upgrades too. Looks like I'll have to contact the Emerson/NI Salesperson.

And yes, I should have redacted that. Looks like I can't make edits to images I upload.

I downloaded that on my home PC, but then never used it, so I removed it.
