Did you mean:

LabVIEW: (Hex 0xF) Resource not resource found - lvanyls.dll

I am running a third party executable that needs to load lvanlys.dll from LabVIEW run-time engine (2018, 64-bit).

It returned the following error messages:

LabVIEW: (Hex 0xF) Resource not Found

lvanlys.dll

An error occurred loading VI 'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Sawtooth Wave.vi'.

Additional errors included attempts to load:

'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Square Wave.vi'

'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Triangle Wave.vi'

'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Sine Wave.vi'

'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Gaussian White Noise.vi'

'create_DCJB_windowfunction.vi'

'calc_inverse_spectrum.vi'

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall LabVIEW run time engine 2018 64-bit, and have no problem locating the DLL lvanyls.dll in one of National Instruments shared folder - a typical location for this DLL.

I have also tried dropping a copy of lvanyls.dll in the system32 folder, or the same folder as the third party executable on separate attempts.

Also rebooted the PC and third party hardware multiple times.

No success.

There also seemed to be no dependency issue though I am not 100% sure. And this is a brand new PC with no risks of existing corrupted files.

What gives?

Any help is much appreciated!

Did you get the third party executable as plain exe or as an installer (preferred!). Typically, lvanlys.dll will be placed into a folder next to the executable. the folder name is "data". Do you have such a "data" folder next to the executable?

The vendor did not provide an installer for this executable, and there was not a 'data' folder in the same directory as the executable.  I went ahead and created a 'data' folder dropped a copy of lvanyls.dll into it, and power-cycled both the PC and the third party hardware before attempting another run of the executable, to no avail.

We have worked with the vendor before and have another system in place integrated with another PC.  Everything appears identical btwn the old and this new system.

Any more ideas or suggestions are much appreciated.

Did you find a solution for this issue? We are facing the same problem with a LabVIEW 2019 64-bit executable, which we provide to clients with an installer including the LabVIEW 2019 64-bit Runtime.

On most machines this works fine, but on some machines (maybe if LabVIEW was installed before?) users get the "Resource not found. lvanlys.dll" error:

lvanlys not found error.png

Any idea?
