LabVIEW PDA

Hi Nag123,

If I understood ur question correctly you are not clear on error handling techniques in LabView. If so go to LabView help and you would get lots of info.

What do you mean by Port is not connected and connected?

As you are already having LabView Pocket PC emulator you can try out and find on ur own. Have you tried it and asking if you are not getting?Again unable to get you? Kindly reframe ur sentences and post it again,

Please post ur code so that any one can undestand ur query better.

Regards,

hi Ramana,
i connect the Modbus init VI Error Out to case structure , in that i get two cases 1. error , 2. No Error.
If error is means , the vi check for port is connected to devices or not. if port is not connected with devices the Mod bus  Init vi gives error.
in this case i use  the one button Disaplay devices is not connected . This works fine on the computer  application. IThe same opertion not display in the emulator. Can u please tell me reason why it is not showing. I used the Pda function palette.

Hi Jabili,

First of all to clarify are you using the Modbus Init VI from the nimodbus.llb library (can be found here)? If so I was able to drag the Modbus Init VI to a PDA VI that I ran on a Pocket PC 2003 SE Emulator (see attached VI). It did correctly display that the Modbus is not connected; however, I have no method to verify when it is corrected.

Please run the attached VI on your emulator and let me know if it is successful.

Cheers,

Hi Jabili,

Unfortunately, National Instruments cannot recommend specific PDAs for your unique application. Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding the NI LabVIEW PDA module or other software application concerns.

Hi Jabili,

I unfortunately do not have any experience with this cable; however, when I followed the link that you posted it did appear that the company selling this product has a contact link "Questions? Contact Us". I would recommend, since they would have the most experience with this specific cable, contacting them and asking the same question. Please follow up and let me know the outcome of this inquiry.

Cheers,
