LabVIEW searches the same file again and again

So, after setting the exact folder as first search path, it worked. That was the option I was looking for in the end...although I didnt know that at the beginning 🙂

By naughty default icon style you mean the ctls? Hmm yeah, I usually only change the icon of my functional VIs

If you dig through my uploaded images you will find one that contains a snip of a "Menu>>View>>Browse Relationships>>Unopened Type-Defs"  there are several HUNDRED controls in that view with the same default icon!  It made for a rather bad day. Don't do that to yourself.  Edit the *.ctl Icons (Better yet, get some Icon Templates)

Haha, sounds good, I will do this in the next time 🙂

Is there a possibility to change the templates default folder from C:\User\Documents... to another folder like Dropbox, because than I can share my templates. At the moment I always modify the icons from one PC as the other doenst have the templates and I am too lazy to make them two times.

One advantage of this is when you view a cluster as an icon, you don't have to guess what it is because the icon will be self-documenting.
