Labview 2009 and windows 7

I found a lot of post about this question and many kb, but I am still totally lost.

I have LabVIEW 2009 (not 2009 SP1) with Windows Vista 32 bits. If I build an installer for a computer with Windows 7, this is will work or not?

Hello Jean-Marc,

The big concern with moving from Vista to Windows 7 is making sure you keep the operating system architecture the same. As long as you are moving to 32 bit Windows you should have no problems. Moving to 64 bit architecture will introduce some potential for incompatibility but most likely will still not be an issue.

A couple of articles that you can read through which discuss Windows 7 and LabVIEW compatibility:

https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/09/national-instruments-product-compatibil...
https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/09/using-national-instruments-products-on-3...

This final link gives you compatibility between operating systems and LabVIEW

https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/17/labview-and-microsoft-windows-compatibi...

Hopefully that should address your concerns.
