Labview 7 Performance Issues

Hello All,

I am updating 24 boolean indicators that reside within a tab control. They
are being updated by another vi using the 'value' property of the
indicators. In LV6.1 the performance is very good, I can refresh at 50 Hz
without any trouble. In LV7 it drops to a crawl (1-2 Hz). I tried moving
the indicators off the tab control and that fixes the problem. Has anyone
noticed any other tab control performance issues in LV7?

Hi Michael,

I have not observed problems with Tab controls (which I am using). I did notice some performance issues with LV7. However, when I installed LV7, I also installed Win-XP. I am planning to go back to Win-2K.

The performance issue that I recently observed is that there appears to be a delay from when I press the "run" button and when the vi actually starts to "run". The delay varies... sometimes it is instantanious on the same PC.

This occurs with LV7 running alone (just in case some people may wonder if I am executing it from TestStand). As I said, I upgraded two variables (LV & Win-XP). I would tend to point to XP first ;o)

Hi Michael,

I too have noticed alot of performance issues with LV7. If you have a simple version of your program that you would like for me to test on my machine to see if that same issues arise, please post it in a message reply. I have LV6.1 and LV7.
