Labview Drivers For MTS Machines?

Hi all, I have a couple of MTS Machines (Bionix 100 and TorsionMaster) and I would like to find out if anyone has had any success in using/controlling either of these devices through LabView (I have version 7.1).

I have not tried yet, only investigating the posibilities, so any replies are welcome.

Thanks

The simple answer appears to be Yes, as MTS mentions in their literature drivers to talk to it: http://www.mts.com/downloads/300213-01.pdf but that does mention how expensive, what other hardware is needed etc. If their manuals are sufficiently descriptive, and of course you have them, then writing drivers shouldn't be too difficult, but I'm basing this on very little info about the MTS stuff, just experience with a bunch of hardware over the years.

Hi DonR,

Sometimes you can find drivers for 3rd party instruments on NI's website:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niid_web_display.drv_search

However, there are not any drivers for the instruments that you mentioned.  You can request these drivers from the same page.  NI might consider writing one depending on the demand.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
