Labview Drivers for SIA??

Hi - i'm a Physics Undergrad Student in Ireland and i'm doing a project on Sequential Injection Analysis - essentially, I have the equipment but i need to control it. I was hoping it might be possible to use Labview to control it (Since it would be much easier than writing the software in c) but I don't know how to find out if there are Labview Drivers for the Equipment i'm using, namely a CAVRO XL3000 Digital Modular Pump and a VALCO Multiposition Valve.
Anyone have any Ideas??

Hi Zacseph,

What type of connection do you have to these devices?

I can't seem to find the driver for that device.  If you have LabVIEW 8.0 or newer then you can search for the drivers using the menu bar.

Tools>> Instrumentation>>Find Instrument Drivers

If not then go to http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niid_web_display.drv_search and search from here.

If you can't find a driver then there is an option on the website to request a driver and then the only way forward is to wait (I wouldn't do that) or create the driver yourself using the I/O assistant (if you are using GPIB or SERIAL).

If you would like some more information on this then go to http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4663  This will give you a great headstart.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi zacseph

I'm also looking for a driver (VISA) for a Valco (Vici) multiport valve. Before starting to program it from scratch:
have you found a suitable vi for your Valco mulitport? Would you share it?

Thanks!
Lukas

I am also trying to program for the Valco Mulitport Valve.  Has this VI example been written?  If so I would appreciate the oppoturnity to see the code.

Thanks,

Mike
