I’m looking to understand: 1) What are the latest reliable alternatives (software or apps) available in 2024–2025 that can replace the NI Combustion Analysis System Software, especially for:
Crank-angle resolved cylinder pressure measurement, Real-time combustion diagnostics, Knock detection and heat release analysis, Integration with NI or non-NI DAQ hardware. 2) Why did NI stop updating or supporting this software? 3) Was it due to a shift in product strategy, integration into other platforms like LabVIEW, or a declining user base?
If anyone has experience with:
LabVIEW-based custom combustion VIs
Third-party tools
Open-source or academic tools for combustion diagnostics
Please share your insights, experience, or links. I’d greatly appreciate any direction or references!
Thanks in advance!

It seems that the Software is still available (do a Web Search for NI Combustion Analysis System). I found what seems to be the LabVIEW 2017 version, as well as a User Manual. It uses (of course) "old" hardware, but if you have a computer that still runs Windows 10 (which will shortly become "another problem"), you might be able to download and install LabVIEW 2017 (or even LabVIEW 2024, which might run that older version's VIs).

(1) NI partners will be your best resource here if you want a pre-packaged solution (I would recommend Vieletech).
(2) and (3) Business stuff. All of the original developers "parted ways" with NI in 2017. A few years after NI acquired the Drivven group, market growth shifted toward EVs and the rest is history.
