Logging Rates on PDA

I have a wireless instrument communicating with my PDA. I want to run an application on the PDA that allows me to log the values from the instrument to file.

Does anyone have any idea on the logging speeds I can achieve by using this method? Is 40 samples per second achievable?

40 samples per second should be easy to achieve, but it will depend on the code,  your PDA and what else it is doing at the time.

the PDA will only be running this app and the app would only be sampling from this one channel. Do you have an idea of the max wireless sampling rates that could be achieved?

The sum total of my knowledge is contained in my previous post.  However, I will try to get someone with more knowledge to answer your post.  In the meantime, we could give you a better answer with a bit more information:

1. What PDA are you using?
2. By wireless, do you mean wireless data to the PDA or data collection on the PDA and wireless storage at another location?
3. What data acquisition equipment are you using?
4. Are you simply trying to find answers to the above three questions?
