Looking for LabVIEW driver for Agilent ESA-E4405B for Phase Noise MODE Application

Hi,
I have the Agilent ESA - E4405B (Spectrum Analyzer) with Phase Noise Application Mode on it.
I can control the spectrum Mode successfully but  i can't config the instrument to diffrent mode (i.e Phase Noise Mode) with the "apesa.llb" driver.
I am looking for LabVIEW driver for:
1. To config the instrument to diffrent Mode (i.e. 1.Spectrum Analyzer, 2.Phase Noise).
2. Sets of LabVIEW command for the Phase Noise Mode Application.
Thanks from Advance !!

Good morning raaaz,

It's been a few years since I last worked with the Agilent S.A.  We did Phase Noise measurements with both the Agilent as well as R & S analyzers.

I seem to recall that on the Agilent, we needed an application sw which would do the phase noise calculations and they were not part of the Labview drivers.  It was called seperately after taking measurements.  Of couse this is already ~5yrs ago...  and my memory is fading on the matter..

I will look around and post anything I find in this thread.  I think Dennis may have experimented with Agilent & phase noise measurements.

EDITED PORTION:

I found a thread from 1 year ago on the subject.  it is for a different model, but basically looking for the same info... or drivers.  Unfortunately, from the posting, nothing was available.

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=140&message.id=7786&query.id=10496#M7786

You may want to contact the Agilent Rep.  The one I dealth with was extremely helpful and knowldgeable.  The rep may also have access to some "non-public" drivers.  You may also be able to call functions from the dll in order to do the phase noise calculation within Labview.

Sorry, I could not help further.

Hi raaaz,

Although you probably have these, here is the link to the latest drivers on Agilent's website:

http://adn.tm.agilent.com/index.cgi?CONTENT_ID=2619

You may also check with their "Code Samples" and "Knowledge Library"

I will take a look at the Knowledge Base in this website to see if there is anything helpful.

Link to the NI - Drivers:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E94EF659CE034080020E74861

but nothing mentionned for Phase Noise

However, there is an example in this link for doing phase noise measurements for the National Instruments PXI-5660 vector signal analyzer.  Maybe it can be modified for the Agilent.
