Hi Larry Goga
I am too working on a LV program that requires obtaining MIDI input data from a keyboard, modify it and pass it through to the Windows MIDI output. I tried to build a MIDI_IN.VI using the WIN32 API but still do not have any luck yet. I have to admin that I am a hardware guy and not experience in complex software such as the callbacks etc. Can I also have your beta test working solution to try out?
Thank you
pchew

Thanks for the offer. Please forward
I am in the process of improving a Labview program to include control from a MIDI device and would like to complete that update in the next few days.
(got two gigs this weekend)
The info at MSDN is not easily followed when I don't have a MS compiler.

Hello,
it's been a while when the last post was written, but I've the exact same problem, that I need some method to work with the input of MIDI Signals.
Are there any updates to that mentioned beta?
Could I have a copy of it, as well?
Thanks
Tim
By the way: has anybody an idea, what interface board I'd need to get some MIDI data coming from trigger-clips from drums

A solution to the problem of inputting MIDI data into a LabVIEW program can be found at the following URL:

Good luck,

There are some broken links in the NI's article. Since thge last post was in 2009, now we have WIndows VISTA/7. Will this work on 7.0?

Hello wprice,
Although the last post to this thread was in 2009, the actual work to develop this solution was done back in 2006 - over 5 years ago. Since then, there has been no new development work on this project nor is there ever expected to be any. I'm afraid that this solution is, and will remain, exactly what it is... a solution for that problem at that point in time with that software.
I'm sorry that I cannot be of more help. Good luck with your further explorations.
