Did you mean:

MOXA, RS-485, ModBus RTU

EDITED:

It seems that the API you have is a bit older than mine.

Anyway, try to use:

- Create Modbus Instance (with all serial configuration shown on my picture)

- Read Holding Registers

From Utility, select Set UnitID.vi

- Shutdown (please attach help description of that VI, I'm not sure what it does)

You gave us two oversized pictures with not explanation as to what they show.

One appears to have an error, but the picture doesn't show it.

How are these supposed to help us help you?

Let's regroup here.

Tell us what your current problem is and provide the actual VI that demonstrates it.  We won't be able to run it because we don't have your Modbus device, but at least we'll be able to poke around at it.

I'm trying to get data from the instrument in labview

The device as it seems to me for some reason does not respond to requests

I apologize for the poor presentation of information, I'm very tired of what I can not do.

Why do you have BaudRate set to 9600?

As far as I remember, you had successful test with external tool on 57600.

Set proper baudrate and test again...

The fact is that I have two devices that I connect to MOXA they have different speed (both work on Modbus RTU Protocol) so in the example there may be a different speed, but the error when connecting these devices is the same.

I think I'm lost. I'm tired of guessing what are your communication parameters. Attached code (test2.vi) has different settings than the picture above.

If you want us to help you I need you to provide all communication parameters.

Otherwise I'm done here.
