So any updates on getting the 64 bit codecs to show in in labivew?

Hi dirtyb15,
Sorry we didn't get back to you sooner! A CAR has been filed with R&D (#304337) and it is being looked into by them. I'm sorry I don't have a definite timeline for you.

I am having the same issue. My 64 bit LabVIEW shows only 2 codecs. But 32 bit shows tons of them. Any update here?

Hi josborne,
Unfortunately I don't have any additional information for you. R&D is fully aware of this issue and the CAR is still being looked into. I'm sorry I don't have more information or a timeline to give you.

Still the same problem. I'm on 64-bit LV2011 with Vision 2011 SP1 looking for my Xvid.
Starting to regret all my bits, maybe hibernating a few years is the only cure to the 64-flu. I think I'll just check Youtube for clips from NI's R&D, they seem busy, and it's always inspiring to see others working hard.

Arg! Very disappointing.
I was considering installing SP1 to see if this bug was fixed. But I didn't see it on the Relase Notes.
Thanks for confirming the problem still exists. Won't bother to upgrade to SP1 now.

Hello Joshua_3.3_Beta and josborne,
First off, I want to apologize for your frustration. This CAR has been open for awhile and unfortunately due to higher priority issues, R&D has been unable to fully devote their time to this particular CAR. However, this issue is now currently being worked on and we are hoping to have a solution soon for you. I’m sorry that I can’t give more information than that. Again, I am very sorry that this has caused so much frustration.
Sincerely,
Mychal F.

Sorry for outing the frustration, and thank you for dealing with the CAR.

If possible, some kind of patch/workaround would be very appreciated. This bug is frustrating and severely limits the usefulness of the (64bit) AVI subvis.
Thanks,
John

Agreed, hopefully something comes up soon.
