Yes, something has slipped through the cracks here. Multiple times.

Thanks John,
NI UK have confirmed that there is no fix for this in the 2012 version (saves me installing it now) but the R&D in the US is currently working on this and it MAY make the next update towards early UK springtime (no idea when that is as we're still waiting for summer!), but they cannot make any commitment.
NI UK have added my lot to the pile of people awaiting a fix, although that probably won't make much difference. I'll try in November when we have our NI Days in London (it's only one day - we don't get a whole week like you guys!) to find one of the US chaps who has a connection with the R&D/development team in the States and try get it sorted.
It's just really disappointing that we have to wait for the next release...like others have said, this should be made available as a patch to replace the AVI VI's...oh well...that's always what happens when a company is run by accountants rather than engineers...
Cheers,
Steven

The first service pack for LV2012 is expected around Jan/Feb if they follow their usual release cycle. Methinks this bug will remain un-fixed in that release too.

As josborne stated our Vision 2012 SP1 release should be Jan/Feb. After researching this issue and the corrective action request associated with it, I believe this bug should be fixed with the new release.

That is really good news! My users will be VERY pleased to hear this.

Hi all,
I would like to point out that we already released the Vision Development Module 2012 SP1 about a month ago.
Please use this link to download the latest version: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/3678/lang/en
You will see every codec on your system (even if you use LabVIE 64bit) which is supported by the Microsoft Video Compression Manager: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd757702(v=vs.85).aspx
We also support codecs on real time targets.
Therefore I will go ahead an close the CAR 304337.
Thanks,
Elmar
PS: The application engineer is responsible to create a CAR= corrective action request.
But it's up to the R&D team to set the priority for each request.

That is great news. I didn't relize that SP1 had been released already. I had thought that service packs for the modules were released at the same time as the LV service pack.
Thanks so much! Gonna download it now.
