Hi,

I think i had this problem a while ago.

I tried the following which seemed to solve it, not sure which one now though. Seemed to be that LV could not find it rather than it did not exist.

1, make sure you have enough space on the compilation volume (and target volume if they are different).

2, delete LV lib files and re-install

3, manually copy lib to the project

4, ensure lib is one of the things included in the build by adding it to the list of must includes

5, upgrade to 8.6 (i think i solved it before i did this as i don't like changing LV builds half way through a project).

Sorry this is a bit vague it was a year or so ago.

I am having a similar problem at the moment to what you are describing.  In my case at least, it seems that McAfee antivirus keeps deleting lvapp.lib when I do a fresh LV7.1 install, and then I get the error you do when I try to build an application.  Attached is an image of my error message when trying to install.

I have no rights to change the McAfee settings.

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Unlike the original issue on this discussion, it sounds like you'll need to work with McAfee to recover the files that your antivirus deleted.  Try following the steps at the following link to recover your files.

How to Recover Files Deleted by McAfee

Warmest regards,
