Modbus RTU & Labview (Berger Lahr Axle)

Hy @ all!

I want to control a axle from Berger Lahr (Schneider Electric) with Modbus under
the environment LabView 8.20

Unitl now I have tried a lot to make the thing work...

Because of the fact that I am a greenhorn in connection with "Modbus", I am not sure how to
make the axle work, which busregisters I should use, ...

Hey again!

I found out, that the adresses of the Modbus commandos are included in the software tool
which belongs to the axle.

So I know the adresses.

But I still need a working VI for the task...

Is there a VI in which I only have to fill in the adresses and everything works?

Examples ship with the Modbus library.
Just open "MB Serial Example Master.vi" Select proper com port on frontpanel and confgure your interface within "MB Serial Init.vi" just as described in chapter 4.1. of your manual.

The little bit that I read in the pdf file said that the drive uses an RS485 port. Are you using an RS232-485 converter of some sort??

Look at reply 7 of 41 in this thread for an .llb file that does modbus serial.
