Dear all,
It is possible to use the NI 9205 for Synchronous Serial Data Reception?
For example, let have a stream at 10kbps data rate (33.3us/bit clock), from a serial sensor continuously feeding bits of data, separated by some given "delimiter".
Which would be the maximum data rate, if this module can handle 500ns?
Thanks in advance

Hi hypfco,

Are you talking about this one?
I guess you could develop some software (FPGA in a RIO chassis) to handle the SSI protocol.
And you would need some additional external hardware to do the voltage level shifting for the RS422/485 communication.
have a stream at 10kbps data rate (33.3us/bit clock), … Which would be the maximum data rate,
With a 10kbaud datastream you get a maximum data rate of 1250 bytes/s - quite simple math…
