NI RIO 2.0 vs Star Trigger Modules

Hi there,

I'm currently using the LV FPGA  7.1 together with NI RIO 1.3.  My main RIO target is an 7813R, but with this driver version I can't access my StarTrigger modules as RIO targets. This seems to be a known problem at NI. Does V 2.0 fix this? Is V2.0 compatible with LV FPGA 7.1?

Cheers
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
NI-RIO 2.0 works with all actual and prior RIO-supporting versions of LabVIEW (7.0, 7.1.x and 8.0) - and related modules of LabVIEW FPGA (1.0, 1.1 and 8.0).
But the rest of your question I don´t understand. Please  give some more details about your application, your "StarTrigger Modules" and/or upload an example,
what you are trying to do.

Regards,
Thomas.

Hi Tobel,

thanks for the reply. My problem with RIO 1.3.1 is that I can see my PXI7813R as a RIO target but not the PXI6652 that should also show up as a RIO target (the hardware revision of the board is ok, already checked that).  I had the 6652 Board sent to NI and they told me it was working correctly but not with RIO 1.3.1 so I should use an older RIO driver in order to program it.... But I did not, since afaik, the 7813 needs RIO >= 1.3.1.

Hope that makes it a bit clearer.

Cheers Oli

Hi Oliver,
this issue should be solved by updating the NI-Sync driver to version 2.0
This Version can be downloaded from
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/6DC8583E8700EF70862570CF00695FF4
or
ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/pxi/pxi-665x/ni-sync/2.0/NI-Sync200.exe
I get the compile only target for PXI-665x with NI-Sync 2.0 , NI-RIO 1.3.1 and LV 7.1

Hope this helps,
Thomas.
