Hi,
It happened to me twice now that after installing some NI software the process RegistrationWizard*32 stayed at 50% CPU even after the install was finished until I terminated the process manually.
I don't remember exactly when it happened last time. This time it happened when I updated using the NI update manager (the update was some patch for application builder). I'm on Win7 64bit with both LabVIEW 64 and 32 bit 2011 installed.
Using the task manager I generated an 80MB dump file of this process before I terminated, if that would be helpful to anyone.
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks, I don't have any trouble with it because I don't open the registration wizard. However, after posting above I realized that this also occurs everytime I open the NI regisration wizard (which doesn't actually get displayed).
Thanks and I'll be waiting to hear from R&D if they need any further info.

Hi Dou.man,
I have a few questions for you that may help us solve this.
Are you able to consistently reproduce the problem? When does it occur?
What OS are you running? What NI software do you have installed?
Thanks,

I also still have this problem. For me it occurs exactly half of the time that I launch the NI registration wizard. I still have the OS specs listed in my first post.

Hello, I have the same problem : on my pc, windows 7, Labview 2011 pro, the process ni registration wizard use 25% cpu permanently, until I kill the process.
What is the problem, and how can I solve it?
Thank you for your answer

As you guys have noted, you can kill the process if it is not being used.
You can also try to disable the process by going to Run..., typing msconfig, and unchecking the Registration Wizard from the Services tab.

Hi Zach,
Even I am experiencing the same problem and it doesnt get solved by killing the process since it seems to start again automatically. Could you please let me know where I can report this problem?
Thanks,
Regards,
Harshal
P.S.I am using NI LabView Student edition on a Windows 7 machine

You might want to also check in services for a NI service that looks like it might be associated with the registration wizard (i.e.. is active when the wizard turns ON) and then disable it. For example, "NILM License Manager" might be the culprit. To get to services, on Win7 just search for services and it should list everything.
