Need Suggestion on Climate Chamber and DAQ Device

Solved!

My comment does not really add additional value here.

To answer your request to share why it was not possible, it may or may not be possible for the respective company to share because it would be their learning of why it was not possible and they would not get any value by sharing that failure story to another "potential competitor".

For example, Tesla would not reveal all the designs that they failed to the public or else their EV competitors (let us say, Ford, GM, etc.,) would gain an advantage (by saving time and money) to already strike out failing methods.

This could be a similar case too, you would gain an advantage to build a climatic chamber at some other company's cost, if the company did not reveal their failures, you would try out all the possible cases, face all hurdles and later find out why it is not easy.

Edit: anyway, it is up to the forum member to disclose the reason for dropping the plan (he already gave high-level details of why not)

However, we are a small research group at a university, trying to save money and work to build a chamber to observe effects on sensors for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES only. Your help will be highly appreciated. Also, I totally understand you don't want to share.

Hi,

I am requesting for one more suggestion. My supervisor is recommending to build a chamber from the scratch. Therefore, could you please suggest me a brief over view of the components required(Specially the chamber body and the humidifier) for the chamber. I already figured out a few. Still, looking for an expert opinion.

On another note, could you give me some ideas on why your colleagues failed to build the chamber? or why it is so hard to build by own? Because, I need to explain my supervisor too.

Well not to sound mean but... The fact that you ask this of me should tell you that you probably don't have the necessary knowledge and more importantly the practical skills to attempt it and that should be enough for your supervisor.

But that being said on a small scale it is not that hard to maintain an elevated temperature, this can be as simple as a mechanical thermostat and a fan. But when you need to maintain accurate temperatures or low temperatures that require active cooling things get complicated really fast.

I haven't even touched on humidity control. Frankly I am no sure how you would accomplish it yourself. I can say that our thermal chamber actually have water plumed directly into them and they use boiler to create steam that is controlled to maintain high humidity and there is also compressed air and an air dryer that is used to dry air purge the chamber to maintain low humidity.

We bought a chamber from here, but i haven't used it personally so i can't tell you about it.

What i can tell you is that controlling a temperature accurately inside a chamber can be a massive pain and took me half a year to design an algorithm to do it well enough.
