Not an Image error when reading tiff with IMAQ readfile

I have written an image using the IMAQ writefile (TIFF)

When trying to read the file  I use a dialog box to find the file.

Sorry...finger slipped.  Here is the rest of the story.

I attempt to read the file with IMAQ readfile (2)

I use IMAQ get fileinfo to get the file type and route that to the Image input on the readfile.

When the readfile executes I get a "Not and Image" error. 

I have tried leaving the .tif and removing the .tif from the end of the file name, and neither seems to matter.

I also posted a request for help reading TIFF files to machine vision... and don't have a good answer yet...

Any thoughts?

Hi Hummer1,

I see this issue was resolved in another thread (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&thread.id=18966) basically all you need is an IMAQ Create to generate a memory address and work from there. Please let us know if you have any further questions and use the Machine Vision forum for a faster answer to any future IMAQ questions.
