PCI 1428 IMAQ Trigger

I would like to use my PCI 1428 (Camera Link Grabber) together with a JAI CV
M4 Color CL.
How can I trigger (and exposure time) my camera external via TTL input into
the framegrabber
and not the old style direct into the camera or with a "breakout
cable..."D6804?
I want to have the benefit from Camera Link cables ... 🙂

By the way the pins on the Camera Link connector would be 22 & 9 "CC1 on
my camera ??or "XCLK" on PCI1428??
Is this the "YCLK" on the larger connector ??? but this should be an
input...?
Any possibility to use the TTL input's e.g. : "TTL_TRIG_0" Pin 8

Michael

Michael. If you want to trigger your camera through the frame grabber, you will have to use one of the trigger lines. These lines are accessable through the front 68 pin connector using the D6804. I'm a bit confused when you say you want the benefit of camera link cables since the CL cable is only used to connect the camera to the frame grabber. The trigger lines use a totally different connector on the board. The way triggering usually works with Camera Link cameras is that the frame grabber is triggered, and then the frame grabber sends a pulse to the camera through its Control Lines. If you don't want to use the trigger inputs on the front of the card, the only other option is to use the RTSI connector on the top of the card.

Kyle,
Shure but with the description I found it's for me not clear, that the
TTL-Trigger input also goes thru the CL-Cable via command
so that I also have the exposure time... which I need.
Meaning: Triggering start and CCD accounts photons till trigger switches
back...

Best regards,
Michael
