Hi comsats wah,

I'm going to assume your issue is different from the previous poster. So I've got some questions/ideas for you so I just listed them out below to keep things organized.

1. You make sure to power on the chassis before the computer, correct?

2. Does the computer boot at all?

3. Does the SMBus Controller and PCI-PCI bridge appear in Device Manager?

4. What PXI Platform Driver have you installed?

5. Does anything appear in Measurement & Automation Explorer?

6. Have you tried upgrading your BIOS?

7. Have you tried the BIOS Compatibility software located here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2071/lang/en (If not, be sure to check out the instructions in the readme)

8. Is the link light on the card lit?

If the PXI card works correctly in a different chassis on the same computer, there could be something wrong with this chassis.

What you are going to want to do is narrow down where the problem is coming from whether it be the PCI card, the PXI card, the cable, the chassis, or the computer. You can test this out using different scenarios that you know work, whether it be moving the PCI card to different slots, moving the PXI card to a different chassis, trying a different cable, or using a different computer. Once you can diagnose where the issue is coming from I can tell you what to do. If you think a card is broken, you can call NI and submit it for repair.
