Plotting coordinates

Im trying to make a program that will plot coordiantes on a graph using the click on a mouse then connect up the points. Any ideas on where i would start? ive seen a few ideas on the forums but im not sure on why some of the parts are there and i dont want it to be very complicated

This would be an excellent starting point that you could modify for your application.  Save last mouse down and use it to connect a line to your current mouse down.
