Previously operational systems are now hanging the PC

Thanks for everyones help and comments - I've found a system register that's corrupted and causing an infinite program loop (incomplete program debugging I think). I've had to remove and re-install Labview to reset this register and I'm now looking at sorting this program error to prevent a recurrance. Thanks again to all for the pointers.

I do not remeber who it is on Info-LabVIEW, but the signature reads something like;

"There is nothing fool proof for a clever fool".

Thanks for the update,

Quoting el-d:
"The initial test screen calls for a serial number and user ID and has several 'Pass/Fail' stages which must be green before the test completes"

That sounds more like TestStand.
Hanging up? Does it ask to do a cleanup? Or some sort of error message?

Re-installing LabView may not be the first step...
I doubt that operator would have done that much damage...
;O)
