Question about myrio shared variable template

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and Labview, I will try my best to make my post clear to you.

The question is:

Will the accessibility of shared variable change while changing the place where they are hosted?

What is the reason for it and how to fix it(make it accessible)?

 

For example:

In Figure(1), there is an example created via (myrio network communication project).

When I put the library under myrio, it works.

When it is placed under my computer, it fails.

Thanks for replying and the link really helps.

 

I may misunderstand the explanation, but the location of the library should have nothing to do with the accessibility of the shared variables. Shared variables are accessible as long as they are deployed and the devices are connected.

 

However, it is not true with the example above. Therefore, what did I do wrong?

It seems like there could be a few potential causes of the problem including blocked access from a firewall and port conflicts. Some possible solutions can be found in the articles below:
