RDA slow connection

The network is connected using  a pair of black box ethernet switches.  One switch is uplinked to the other.  There is no problem with network connectivity.  Pings go through instantly and all other network application work perfectly (including some Labview code not using RDA, but using ethernet).  Each machine has a static IP address and has its host file in the Windows/System32/Drivers/etc directory filled in with the other machines static ip addresses for name resolution. I'll have to check on the NI Spy traffic. The NI hardware used is a MXI-3 Card connected to a PXI chassis with a PXI 6025 card connected to an SCXI chassis.  I'm trying to remotely access the PXI 6025 digital IO.  Ni Daq 7.2 is on both machines.  The remote machine only has Nidaq, my Labview 7.1 created executable, and the Runtime Engine (No LabVIEW compiler on the remote machine).

Looked at NI Spy and the process monitor, and basically nothing showed up during the delay on either one.  There was no cpu being used (maybe 1%) and no traffic on NI Spy.  I did pseudo solve the problem, though.  I re-compiled my LabVIEW executable using LabVIEW 7.0, created an installer and installed the new app - it works fine now - same install of NiDaq and the rest.  The first person to report this also used this as a work around.  Let me know if you figure out what's causing the problem in LabVIEW 7.1

Thanks,

Jason
