RT ping controllers

Up to 8.6, with "RT ping controllers" you could ping remote subnets searching for controllers. Now with 9 it seems to be replaced by "RT get target information", but the new VI supports only local subnet. The old "RT ping controllers" is still available but it doesn't seem to work anymore for remote subnets. Are remote subnets no longer supported? (why?)

The "RT get target information" doesn't support remote subnets controllers. So you can create a subVI with the function "RT ping controllers" in Labview  8.6 and import it in Labview 9. 

Another solution could be this: you can create a  DLL to incorporate the "RT ping controllers VI" in Labview 9  from the Labview 8.6.
