Hello,
I am trying to interface with my PXIe-8510 usiing J1939 Protocol. I have a PXIe-8881 Embedded Controller running NI-Linux Real-Time connected to my computer through ethernet cord. Using XNET Database editor, I created an alias for the J1939 DBC file and tried running the J1939 Frame Input Queued.vi example, and while I can select frame to read in the Front Panel, I get Error -1074384758 saying "the interface name given does not specify a valid and existing interface". I have checked and the interface name matches what is configured on NI MAX.
I am also trying to use Bus Monitor to see if I can sniff any traffic but get Error 63, saying "the network operation exceeded the user-specified or system time limit". I have attached a screenshot of the Interface Settings. I have verified the J1939 Node Address, but don't know what the J1939 Node name might be- not sure if this is the problem. I have configurated my network settings, so I don't think that's the problem. I was able to communicate with the same device over CANOpen using PXI-8531 so I am thinking it's an issue with XNET configuration?
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you
