Reading information from Device Manager

Well, the DevCon exe might solve one of my other issues, so that's a plus, but  I was kinda hoping not to have to go outside LV to retrieve  property info..   it'd be nice if there was a function that gave all known property characteristics instead of pre-programmed ones.. maybe in the future?

Probably not.  I don't see NI wanting to reimplement all functions, of all platforms they work with.  I'd suggest leveraging already written tools if they meet your needs.

If you do come up with something that works please post back your solution, so other can benefit.  As I said in the past I had a similar situation with a 16 port device that I just set the COMs for.  Then I had 8 other duplicate testers I had to setup, it would would have been more robust if I had looked into what you are trying to do.
