Real time module labview 2016

Hi everyone, i had my labview 2016 and myrio toolkit installed in my computer windows 10. When i want to install the real time module, it prompt me about the NI device drivers. What is the driver actually and where can i get it ? I download the myrio toolkit and this real time module from labview myio software bundle. Please help me, thanks!!Capture.PNG

It should included in the software package when you buy it 

 

Also you can download the drivers from NI website.

I'm not 100% certain which Driver it wants.  I assume you have MAX installed -- if you open MAX, can it "see" any Remote Systems (which is where your myRIO should appear)?

 

You could also "follow the instructions", install the LabVIEW RT Module, and see what Drivers it asks you to install.  It wouldn't surprise me if one of them was the System Configuration Driver.  I haven't installed myRIO recently, so I don't remember ...

I download the software package from NI website.  Actually i have a myrio 1900 with this 3 DVD but my laptop is running on windows10 and the DVD only support fot windows 8 and below. That is why i download from NI website. You mean can download the Drivers from website, but how can i know which drivers i missing ? OK, now I'm getting really worried (on your behalf).  Please answer the following questions:

  1. What version of LabVIEW are you running?
  2. Do you have MAX installed?  [If you don't know what MAX is, please say so here.]
  3. If LabVIEW and MAX are both installed, please open MAX, expand the Software Tab, take a screenshot of it, save as a .PNG file and attach that to your reply.

Developing software for a myRIO requires a working LabVIEW installation, one with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module and myRIO Toolkits, and appropriate LabVIEW Drivers (and MAX) installed.  The above questions will help identify what required prerequisites you have, and what you might be missing.

Sorry, more bad news -- I think I know what this is, and can suggest a "fix", but have one more test for you to run.  I really hope you are running Windows 10 (sorry that I forgot to ask that key question) -- if you are, open the Start menu and in the search bar, type "Services".  If you are running Windows 10, it should show you a Desktop App called "Services".  Run it.  You'll get a list of internal Windows routines called "Services", behind-the-scenes routines that "do things" for you.  Scroll down and find the ones whose names start with "NI".  Try to get a screen shot of the list, and post it.  If you can't post it, then count them and tell me how many you have running.  Here's the list from my Laptop (which is not running with a RIO):

I have encountered systems that worked, then stopped working, with a key symptom being the "disappearance" of a significant number of the the NI Services.  My Laptop has 19 NI Services showing, and when it went into "failure mode", the number dropped to around 12.

 

Before I tell you the Fix (which, if it is the problem I think it is, will be a little "painful", but should work), I want to be sure I've got the right problem.  So please try to post a list (or at least a count) of your NI Services.

The Good News is that you do not seem to be missing important (and necessary!) NI Services.  When I saw that you had a few LabVIEW 2017 components installed on your LabVIEW 2016 system, I feared that the 2017 components would do to you what they did to me, and kill vital NI Services, requiring a complete removal of NI Software and a re-installation.

 

The Bad News is that (a) my myRIO is packed somewhere, so I can't test anything right away, and (b) I am not sure why you are having problems (sorry).  If I can think of something to try (and you haven't posted that you've gotten this fixed), I'll let you know.
