Requirements to read from a USB port

Hi,

     Iam trying to read from a usb port.Iam using a pendrive.In the NI VISA driver wizard.I selected my device and provided vendor ID and product ID.On proceeding there showing a dialog box that has written that "your device compiles with a known device class for which the driver is already likely  installed in your system.would you like to proceed installing a VISA driver for this device?".Why this happens??I press YES and 'output file generation' window appears.On giving FINISH it shows that "windows cant verify the publisher of this driver software".Why this happens??

Can anyone have any suggestions?I will really appreciate.

Any reason why you don't want to use it as a normal drive from within the OS?

K...I read  the nuggets and I came to know that Iam using a RAW device.So I opened an example from NI.Iam attaching that example.And I identified my device from VISA Resource Name and what will be the request,Request type,length etc:- for my device?what are they?And when I click on open session in that example there shows an error that: VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF0072) The resource is valid, but VISA cannot currently access it.Why this happens?How to solve this?PLz give any suggestions.

        I understand from your nuggets that Iam using a raw device(PENDRIVE).So inorder  to read from a pendrive I opened one of the examples in Labview,it is below attached and in that example I recognized my device in VISA Resource Name but while clicking on OPEN SESSION it gives an error that VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF0072) The resource is valid, but VISA cannot currently access it.How to get rid of it.Also can you please explain what will be the Request,RequestType,Length etc:- when we are reading from a pendrive........plz reply

You expect to get a reply immediately after you post. Well, this forum is not Twitter. This forum is primarily composed of volunteers, who, like myself, have full-time jobs. We try to keep up with the posts since NI is incapable of doing so, but we cannot possibly hope to cover all questions at the level of "urgency" that posters have in their mind. And make no mistake: the urgency is your problem, not ours. Just because something is urgent to you doesn't matter to us. Please keep that in mind for next time.

Also, posting the same question SEVEN TIMES helps noone. All you do is splatter the discussion all over the place, and nobody has all of the information, or can see what has already been discussed, suggested, and/or ruled out. Also keep that in mind for next time.

I am also using pen drive as my usb device. Can you give me some information about request, request type in USB ControlIn and ControlOut VIs.
